North Sikkim Tour

Three days above the tree line. Lachung, Yumthang Valley and the frozen stillness of Gurudongmar, travelled at the pace the mountains set.

Waterfalls, root bridges and a river so clear the boats look suspended. Meghalaya at its most photographed and its quietest, in one loop.

The full Sikkim arc. Both the high north and the eastern passes, from Siliguri and back, with hotel and homestay nights along the way.

Tea gardens and a Himalayan sunrise, then over to Gangtok for the high passes. Paced with a free day built in rather than a race between viewpoints.

A full week of Himachal. Colonial Shimla, the Narkanda forests, then Manali and everything the Atal Tunnel opens up on the far side.

The long road to Tawang, taken properly. Shergaon orchards, Dirang, the Sela Pass at 13,700 feet, and the lakes beyond the monastery town.

A short Himachal break built around the Atal Tunnel, with overnight coach journeys either side so the days stay in the mountains.
